As you all know 2011 ended on a very sad note here at the studio. We lost our mentor, friend and co-worker Mr. Ron. Thru the prayers and well wishes from YOU, our client, we are forging on. We would have never made it with out you. I always new I was blessed to be in this profession and have such wonderful clients, or should I say ‘friends’. In memory of Mr Ron and thru our deep passion for our art, we will be Ron Richards Photography for now and always. Continue to visit our site and studio… we love capturing your memories and can’t wait to see you………….

Girls: Spring Fashion Trends make you camera ready

•February 23, 2011 • Leave a Comment

Pick up any of the newest fashion magazines off the shelf and you’ll get a glimpse of the upcoming season’s newest trends.  I am summing up some of the most notable trends so you can be camera ready and even stay on top of your look for Spring. Looking through the pages of Harper’s Bazaar March issue, I found these tips:

  • Stay minimal.  Keep the outfit minimal but dress up the accessories.
  • In contradiction to staying minimal, prints are still in and animal prints have not gone anywhere so hold on to those.  Stripes have returned for the season of varying thickness, so work that into your wardrobe by pairing a striped top or bottom with a minimal bottom or top.
  • Lace.  Neutral lace tops and bottoms were seen in this issue as the “dressy” look.
  • Gold accessories.  Jewelry, shoes, scarves, belts, etc.  Get it in gold.

Colors:

  • Bold color mixing.  Go ahead, be brave.  Mix those bold hues for this sharp look.
  • Navy blue and green are big this season.  Pair it with white (Think sailor chic).
  • Lustrous and opaque.  The glimmer is in.  Work it in with accessories or go all over with a sparkly spring dress.
  • Neon.  …mix a splash of neon with the minimal, all-white look.
  • Neutrals (like khaki or coffee) paired with camel and gold or the animal prints.

While most of these pages feature extravagant and expensive pieces from designers like Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, and Ralph Lauren, you can still work the trends into your wardrobe for an eighth of the price if you are a savvy shopper.  Check out the Thrift Shops and even Marshall’s for this season’s affordable trends.  Accessories and jewelry can still be found for reasonable prices at your favorite shops in the mall like H&M.

Enjoy your Spring ;-)

HDR + fun filtered images around the studio.

At Triangle last month we learned how to create HDR composites and symmetrical “mirrored” images.  These shots are taken around the studio and the 7 acres of land.  Beautiful what you can do, huh?

We love our job!

We love seeing the many faces that come through our studio doors.  They keep things fresh and allow our relationships to grow from clients to friends.  But sometimes, you come across those certain people who can just make you laugh without trying.  Those genuine comedians that make our job so much fun.

Thanks Ryan!
